Call us crazy, but we still have a passion for old classic gaming. Remember those days at the arcade dropping your paper route money into the slots. The Zen feeling you had when wracking up the score on Galaga or Misssle command? Or the amazement you had when you first saw a DragonsLair game?

Nowadays we can laugh at these games compared to what we have now on XBox and the newer consoles and gawk at the amazing graphics. But as a group of hardcore players we still kept coming back to the old classics. Why? Because even though the graphics now are spectacular, there is something  missing to them. A true gaming experience, where graphics are not the end-goal of a good game, but real satisfaction in playing. The Wii is a perfect example of this phenomenon. It has the same graphics as it's 5 year old predecessor. But is outselling both the XBox and PS2 10 to 1.

Why?  Because of it's focus is on satisfaction of gameplay to the user through excellent physical control of the game. None of the Wii games will win any awards for technological prowess or graphics. But it is just plain fun because of the attention to the controller. And even the simple games tennis, bowling, baseball, are extremely satisfying.

The same is true of the old classic games. These games are designed for raw gameplay, pure and simple. Eye-hand coordination at it's best with ever  increasing difficulty and pace. These games were designed to challenge you (and of course take your money)
